Mudumalai National Park is known for its rich and diverse flora, which includes various species of trees, shrubs, herbs, climbers, and grasses. This protected area is detained with three major types of forest. One kind is tropical moist deciduous that is found in the western Benne Block which receives higher rainfall than the other block, second one is tropical dry deciduous forest which is found in the middle and southern tropical dry thorn jungle in the east. Besides these, there are patches of tropical semi ever green forest in the southern and western part of Mudumalai. Here are some of the prominent flora species found in the park:
Apart from these, the park is also home to several species of flowering plants, ferns, and mosses, making it a biodiversity hotspot in India.
